What's in the Box

These strong, lightweight steel bellhousings are just the ticket for installing a Mustang T5, Tremec TKO 500/600, or TR3550 manual transmission behind your 1949-53 Ford Flathead V8 engine. The compact design allows the bellhousing to fit in tight quarters and will accommodate up to a 10-1/2" clutch. Set up to use a clutch fork and release bearing, but can also be used with hydraulic release bearings.  

NOTE: Must be used with Speedway starter 91067465 (standard block) or Powermaster 91067475 (French block).

Notes

  1. Includes two adapter rings for bearing collars and aluminum adapter to allow starter bolt up. 
  2. Trans bore = 4.850"/4.910"
  3. Universal shifter fork brackets for diaphragm or cable operated linkage. Supplied with pivots for several Ford clutch release arms, including a pivot ball for a Mustang-style arm using a "pull" cable.
  4. Pivot ball, shifter brackets, full engine plate and grade 8 bolts included.

GM Manual Trans to 1949-64 Ford Bellhousing Adapter
                        

Mates GM manual transmissions to 1949-1964 Ford or 1951-1964 Mercury bellhousings. Includes an adaptor sleeve for the pilot bushing. This adaptor will space the transmission 5/8" away from the bellhousing.

Powermaster XS Torque gear reduction starters are built using all new components and cranks out 200 ft./lbs. of torque. Speedway has you covered if you need a "stump puller" starter for your Flathead Ford V8. Our gear reduction starter is built using all new components and cranks out 200 ft./lbs. of torque. It bolts to the original mounting points on 1932-1953 engines with manual trannys & steel flywheels.

1949-1953 Flathead Steel Flywheel
                        

It's getting harder to find usable Flathead flywheels and clutch components. We offer you these new steel flywheels for later 1949-53 engines. Weighs 24 lbs.

Will accept 10", 10.5" and 11" Ford (Long-style) and 10.5" Borg & Beck Diaphram pressure plates. Use 7/16" Chevy flywheel bolts to mount to crankshaft.
