Spindle sleeves needed to be sanded down so the inner bearing could fit over them, the directions are HORRIBLE!!!! And need to be revised to be clearer. All and all its a good kit for the money

Came in on time. Have a 52 f3. Converted to 5 on 5 half pattern. This product does fit right on the spindles and bolts up. Definitely have to have 15ib wheels. easy to install wish Had better instructions on calibers.

Has a great price and fit perfectly on my 51 Ford truck with no modifications needed. Everything is included to swap over from drums to disks. Wish there was a similar kit for the rear. Would be nice if it came with braided flex lines as I ordered some separate.

Spindle removal is not necessary. Drill new grease fitting location. Pump grease in old location. Tap with grease in the new hole, and grease original fitting again to flush out any crud. Swap grease fitting and plug original hole. The bearing adapter states heating or pressing. Instructions from another vendor just says use red locktite, which is what I did. Great product. Very pleased.

Actually, the 48-52 F1, F2 and F3 all use the same spindles. P/N 7HY 3105 RH and P/N 7RD 3106 LH, according to the Ford Chassis Parts Catalog dated 11/54. The F1 brake kit should fit just the same on an F3.

The F3 has different spindle dimensions and this kit will not be applicable. Sorry we do not offer a brake kit for your 1949 F3.

This brake kit will give you a hub to hub width of 59" on '48 to '52 axles and 62 1/4" on '53 to '56 axles. Compare this to your current width to determine the amount of change from stock.

The 46 half ton pickup would take kit number 91031909 which is designed for cast on steering arms and if he has bolt on steering arms some minor modifications would need to be made. This kit will keep the stock 5 on 5 ½ bolt pattern.

Rotors with 5x4.5 I have this kit installed on my 48 F1. Will be doing a Mustang II eventually and in the meantime want to get new wheels with 5x4.5 bolt pattern. Is there a rotor I can buy to replace mine with that bolt pattern that will work with this kit? Thanks!

Will this kit work with a '96 Ford f-150 brake pedal and 1 1/8" master cylinder on the fire wall. I have a '56 F-100 that I want to change to a hanging pedal assembly and get rid of the under floor master cylinder. I can get a '96 F-150 pedal assembly that I can modify to fit the '56, but I don't know if the 1 1/8" master cylinder is right for the GM calipers in this kit? What else would I need to do this, proportioning valve? I am going to leave the rear drums standard.

Normally the 1 1/8” bore is too large for the front disc rear drum applications and a 1” is recommended. If you use it with a booster you would be alright but with a manual pedal assembly it will take too much pedal pressure to stop the vehicle. When using a manual pedal assembly a pedal ratio of 6.5 to 1 or greater as well as a 1" bore master cylinder would be recommended. You will need a proportioning valve number 91031353 or one of our other adjustable valves plumbed into the line to the rear brakes with any of those master cylinders.

This kit could be used with a stock master cylinder with single reservoir, however for safety features the dual reservoir has it’s benefits. If using with the stock master cylinder with 1" or 1 1/16” bore the pedal ratio should be sufficient. You will need to plumb in a proportioning valve such as number 91031353 in the line to the rear in order to cut the pressure down. If not reduced the rear brakes will lock up prematurely and the front brakes will not do their share of the braking.

In most cases the stock wheels will not clear the calipers of this kit. The stock wheels wrap around the brake drum whereas the later wheels especially aftermarket wheels were more flat. You can verify fit by turning a wheel upside down, laying a 12-14” straight edge across the center of the wheel, and then measuring down to the bolt surface to where it will bolt to the hub. The caliper is within ¾” and anything over that would cause interference and require a wheel spacer to be able to use those wheels.
