Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

The picture in the magazine made the metal look thin so I was a little concerned about how well they could be welded in. The metal is a thicker guage than it looks in the picture. No worries there. For the overly picky builder you may want to dremel the welds on the inside of the dish to smooth it out but it really won't show with lens inserted. Outstanding product.
