No these will not fit a 1939 Ford. The Lincoln Zephyr lights are the same shape but are much larger. you would have to modify the body of your Ford to fit these lights.

These come with very good wiring instructions so it will be no problem hooking these up.

Installers with a 3 wire lead to the back Green is ground, Black is tail lights, and the stop and turn wires go to the red lead on the lights. If you have a dedicated turn signal wire in a four wire lead then it hooks up to the yellow wire. Otherwise simply disregard the yellow wire.

These lights function as tail light and also stop/turn and in the turn mode use same filaments as the brake and illuminate in red. We currently do not offer a light with the indicator turn filaments or lens is yellow or amber.

I also have a Painless system. My front signals take regular type bulbs so I did not have to do anything else to have them work. From what I read if all your lights are LED then you do need to use a dummy load.
April 24, 2012
John
On an all LED system you will need the dummy loads to create current draw and enable the standard flasher to cycle. If your other turn signal bulbs are of 1156 or 1157 style then your standard flashers may work without the dummy loads.

I am thinking about getting these to flush mount on saddlebags on a motorcycle. I currently have a run/tail/brake controller installed that converted my rear turn signals to running and turn signals. The brake and turn signals already flash 3 times when brake is activated. Will these work with the R/T/B controller?

These lights have provisions to be used as taillight, turn signal and brake light. As such, they have a "low beam" (taillight), and a "high beam" (turn signal and brake light). The lamps have 4 wire leads. One for ground, one for taillight, a third for the stoplight/turn signal, and a 4th wire that makes the light pulse (it is not necessary to use the 4th wire, the other functions will work fine without using this 4th connection). I suspect your R/T/B will work with the standard 3-wire hookup and so these should work well with your controller.

We apologize for any misconception but these lights work just as if there were an 1157 bulb inside. There are not 3 separate lights and an LED is a series of dozens of mini LED filaments impregnated inside the plastic lens and controlled by a printed circuit board. When the tail lights are on the entire light is illuminated and when stepping on the brake or using the turn signal another group of LED's make the entire light considerably brighter just like a normal dual filament bulb or more. LED's are popular as they are considerably brighter than standard incandescent bulbs behind the dark lenses.
