Looks Great

Bought The Kit. Specified 1937 thru 1948 Flathead. I Had To Cut 4 1/2" Off The Top Of The Tubes To Make Them Fit. Not A Bolt On Kit For A 1938 Ford Standard. Have Not Had Any Problems Though. Looks Great.
Pros:
  • Durable
  • Looks Great
Yes, I recommend this product.

I would buy this again. Very pleased.

The water outlet on the left side head is slightly closer to the radiator than the right side. So, the left side pipe needed a slight pie cut on the end to shorten the pipe and acheive the proper angle and not end up with a kink in the hose. Also had to shorten both right and left upper hoses about 1/2 inch. Other than that, this product is top notch. The hoses and clamps are high quality and look great. I've put about 30 miles on my 1947 ford since installing these hoses, and have had no problems or leaks. I'm very pleased.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Hose clamps are NOT stainless steel as advertised. I called customer support and was told they would look at stock on hand and see if there was a problem and would call me the next day...never got back to me!
Pros:
  • Tubes looked great

The hoses were too long, but probably because I'm using them in an application they were not designed for (flathead V-8 in a Model A frame !) No problem!
Yes, I recommend this product.

measurements Do you have the rise and reach dimensions? I am looking for hoses for a flathead in a non-Ford vehicle with a '32 flathead radiator. I have center outlet heads. Overall would be similar to an A-V8. Thanks.

As these are shown in the picture the rise (top to bottom) is 10 1/2" and the reach (left to right in the picture) is 15". These measurements are to the centerline of the metal tube and do not include the hose connections.

SS hose kit to an Offenhauser aluminum head The hose ends with this kit are 1-3/4 inch but my Offenhauser aluminum heads water outlets are 2 inches. I can't stretch them on. Your hose adapters are 1-3/4 inch max. Can you offer any solution? I bought it all from Speedway. Thank you, Bob

We offer a connector part number 91073005 which is 2" ID an could possibly be clamped down to fit the 1 3/4" metal tubes. If you are not able to clamp that connector down to the metal tube then Gates offers a reducer part number 26392 which is 2" OD and 1 3/4" ID. Sorry we do not offer that Gates reducer but you should be able to get it from a local auto parts store that carries Gates products.

1937-1948 Flathead Ford V8 Thermostat
(Part #91015801)

Don't let that flattie boil over – keep it running cool with new thermostats from Speedway. These thermostats sit in the water outlets on the top of the head, with the hose coming down over the water outlets, holding the thermostats in place. Remember, every Flathead needs two of these!

  • OEM replacement
  • Two thermostats required for each engine
  • Opens @ 180° F
  • Fits 1937-1947 Ford/Mercury flathead V8s in cars & trucks
