Answer this question
A:
This kit puts four bar suspension on your 1935-40 Ford and requires the use of a panhard bar and correct spring length. The stock steering arms normally are retained and in some instances may require heating and bending to get the desired amount of clearance for the lower four bar tubes. If a bolt on steering arm is present we offer two different drops as replacements if needed under part number 7022756 or 7022754.
Q:
I am using a different axle/spring setup and the 4-bars end up "away" from the frame by about 1". Can I use Kugel Komponents multi-angle adjuster sleeve to compensate ont he batwing end of the 4-bars?
Thank you ....

Answer this question
A:
When installing this on a vehicle or application with dimensions varying from the original 35-40 Ford the spring length may need to be changed. Since the four bar set up pivots on the perch bolts and you pull the rear together it would increase the spring length requirement. In some instances minor variances require the spreading of the spring for attachment. As long as the shackles angle downwards with the weight on the vehicle at about 45 degrees you should be o.k. The spring pivots themselves can compensate for minor frame width variances and you may have to purchases the correct length spring.. If still not a working situation you may want to use multi angle adjuster sleeves to accomplish the desired results. This would be personal preference and relate to availability.
