How to mount Trailing Arms on 47 Ford I see in the instructions how to mount this kit to the rear end and spring but how do you mount the trailing arms (I believe that's what they are called the two arms that mount to backing plate on original rear end).I'm going to be installing an 8.8.

When swapping in a different rear end into the original suspension on a 47 Ford the Wishbone or trailing arm as referenced will need to either bolt to the new rear end in the same modified location if the rear end is the same width or brackets will need to be fabricated and welded to the housing if the width is different. If minor difference the arms could be stretched apart or squeezed together but if any great amount it will also effect the rear end location. Before starting the swap take some accurate measurements to verify the donor will be in the correct location for wheelbase.

What is the difference between this kit and the 91645105 kit? Is there a difference in the axle center to spring center measurement?

1935-40 Ford Composite Leaf Spring Rear Suspension Kit
(Part #91049935)

Give your 1935-40 fat-fendered Ford state-of-the-art ride and handling with the Speedway composite leaf rear suspension kit. Composite springs are the new wave of performance spring material. They are lighter than steel, respond faster, last up to 5 times longer, and will not rust or corrode like traditional leaf springs. The monoleaf design also ensures noise- and friction-free performance, while providing the softest, smoothest ride imaginable.

  • Monoleaf design is free of interleaf friction & squeaks
  • Springs will not corrode and are paintable
  • Stainless brackets can be polished
  • Brackets add much needed reinforcement to rear of frame
  • Spring rates matched to application
  • Smooth ride
  • Gas charged shocks

Kits include a pair of springs, stainless steel mounting brackets, gas-charged shock absorbers, and hardware. Order optional bolt-on rear sway bar 916-43500 for increased handling control.
