How to mount Trailing Arms on 47 Ford I see in the instructions how to mount this kit to the rear end and spring but how do you mount the trailing arms (I believe that's what they are called the two arms that mount to backing plate on original rear end).I'm going to be installing an 8.8.

When swapping in a different rear end into the original suspension on a 47 Ford the Wishbone or trailing arm as referenced will need to either bolt to the new rear end in the same modified location if the rear end is the same width or brackets will need to be fabricated and welded to the housing if the width is different. If minor difference the arms could be stretched apart or squeezed together but if any great amount it will also effect the rear end location. Before starting the swap take some accurate measurements to verify the donor will be in the correct location for wheelbase.

What is the difference between this kit and the 91645105 kit? Is there a difference in the axle center to spring center measurement?

DAN I have purchased this item and I was asking if I used the 38" medium spring and have two people setting over the spring area, what would the distance between the brackets be? The car I am making is an open tub. It seats four and no top. no more than 600 lbs on the rear of the car. Thanks I need to order the spring as soon as you get back.

On real light cars like our T buckets spacing is about 43" on the 38" spring. With more weight on the back we do not have a scale to work off but the 38" spring is still lighter than the high arch spring and you will likely need to spread the 38" more when hooking up the shackles. On the model A for example it commonly has to mount the perch eyes at 45".
