Info

These greyhound hood ornaments are a graceful chrome plated reproduction of the popular 1930's accessory. Attaches using parts from your existing radiator cap.

  • Chrome plated
  • Attaches through center of your existing radiator cap
  • Fits 1934 Ford
  • Base is approximately 2-7/8" O.D. wide
  • Base is approximately 3-7/8" O.D. long
  • Overall length is approximately 9"
  • One threaded hole in the center of base

Note:  Will totally replace an original radiator cap but requires internal parts from a stock radiator cap for mounting. If you have a stock 1934 cap, dismantle it for the parts. If you have no cap, you can purchase 91132002

If you turn a stock radiator cap upside down, you will note that there is a screw which retains a washer with two “ears” (which fit into the slots of the radiator neck) and the sealing gasket with a backup washer behind it. Those are the pieces that need to be transferred to the Greyhound.

If you are putting the Greyhound on a Hot Rod that is using a pressurized cooling system (and therefore the stock cap is simply an ornament and not subjected to coolant or pressure), you could probably use a large fender-washer and a normal screw to hold the Greyhound in place.
