What's in the Box

Info

The tank comes with a plug for the drain hole at the bottom, and a gasket and mounting screws for the sending unit (the flange for the sending unit has at least three, 5-and 6-screw patterns in it to accommodate nearly any original early Ford or aftermarket sending unit).

The fuel line attachment port is on the front of the tank (with a tube that reaches to the bottom/center of the tank) and is threaded ½-20 to accept a specialized 1/4" ferrule and nut fitting such as sku # 910-76073 as offered below to utilize in conjunction with 1/4" steel fuel line.

The tank does not have a dedicated vent line or fuel return port (as might be needed in a fuel injected arrangement) therefore, a vented cap would be required (such as the Speedway 911-39001), or the customer would have to modify the tank to suit their needs.

The inside of the tank has 2, sturdy, baffles to control side-to-side slosh.

The tank has a factory-applied, light-gray finish to resist corrosion.

Nice Tank!

December 20, 2015
The fuel pickup is located on the front of the tank similar to later style tanks. It could be plugged but would still be visible if you are looking for completely original looks.
Pros:
  • Well Made
Cons:
  • Fuel Pickup Is Different
Yes, I recommend this product.

You are right. The hole at the front IS the fuel pickup port. We do not stock the stock-style fitting for attaching the fuel line. (It uses the same arrangement as a stock, 1933-34 Ford would use.) This connection is threaded ½-20 and has a flat seat at the bottom (NOT an inverted flare seat/cone). We do not offer the Original Equipment style fuel line connection for this. I suggest that you contact the folks at Bob Drake for such an item.
