I'm assuming the hinge of the mirror is sufficiently wide to fit on the door hinge of a 1930 Ford and the pin for the mirror will go through both the door hinge and the mirror. Is this correct?

That is correct, the mirror bracket fits around the hinge, and the pin holds everything together. The hinge bracket measures 1.778" I.D. The hinge pin O.D. measures .228"

What is the size of the mirror and does it fit on standard 1930 Ford door hinges? Thank you.

This mirror fits on the outside hinges of the 1930-31 Ford closed cars and carries the following specifications. * 0 .228" Pin O.D. * 1.778" I.D. Opening for Hinge * 4" diameter * 8" long

Is the back side of the mirror chromed? From the pictures, it's not clear.

This mirror is all chrome and features a 4” diameter mirror head and an 8” arm for good visibility.
