These replacement 1928-31 Model 'A' Ford front crossmembers lower a Model A chassis 2" below a stock crossmember. Replaces a cracked original or use it to start your reproduction frame off right. Made of heavy, 7-gauge steel with clearance for 1-3/4" cross spring. Welds to frame boxing plates of original or repro chassis.

Used to make my Model T chassis,Trimmed and fit perfectly!Model A front spring bolted right up to it!Highly recommend! Cant build one of this quality for the price!

Great Deal

I Built a custom Model A Frame and this was the easiest part of all. It comes powder coated and fits very well. A good buy at this price. Highly reccomended for Model A use.

Good for any model A or B

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I used this for my 32 five window with 33 frame rails. I know it's for a model A but, a rod is a rod and a crossmember is a crossmember. I was going to make my own but again Speedway offered a heavy guage steel part at a price that made it worth not having to do all that work. The longer length is also nice to work with. Front ride height came out just fine on my 33 rails.

A strong great fit, best for full fendered rods where it won't be seen easily, if you want a piece that will be more visable then the 32 crossmember is a better way to go.

Who welds this stuff?

Coating is very hard to remove. Weld grinding is poor

I have purchased this item from Speedway, but I am unsure how to bolt the front of the motor in now. I am going to be using an original flathead 4 banger motor and this does not let you mount the motor the same way. How do i go about using this and mounting the front of the motor?
