What's in the Box
Four bar suspensions allow your front axle to travel freely, thus providing better ride and handling than traditional radius rods. Plus, their polished stainless construction will keep your front end glowing forever! Speedway kits feature bat wings and tapped bar ends, complete with nylon rod ends. For axles with 2" or 2-1/4" boss - use spacers 916-35003 if necessary.

NotesWe strongly reccommend the use of a front panhard bar with four bar front suspensions. Four bar suspensions increase suspension travel over original wishbones or radius rods, which increases the need for side-to-side axle control. If using a Vega cross steering system, the panhard bar becomes mandatory as any side-to-side movement will cause bump steer.

Works with 1928-34 Ford front ends with 1-3/4" wide cross spring. Extra long for lower shock mounts. Includes nylock nut.

These tie rod or drag link kits are pre-cut and tapped lengths of 7⁄8" O.D. tubing available multiple lengths. Kits come complete with 11/16" traditional 7° tie rod ends and jam nuts. Tubing will be tapped with right-hand & left-hand threads for adjustability.
Select your length based on the center-to-center of the tie rod ends, which will also be the eye-to-eye distance between the steering arms (the acutal tube will be 3" shorter than length selected). At selected length, the link will be adjustable from 1/2" shorter to 3/4" longer.
Note: Always use anti-seize to prevent galling the treads during final installation.
Speedway Motors makes it easy to bolt together a cross steering system with our Vega Steering Box Combo kit. Kit includes a Speedway Vega box, steel pitman arm, and a Ford Model T - 1934 frame mount. This steering box accepts a 5/8" 36-spline U-joint or coupler.

With cross steering a Panhard bar is a must-have. It stops side-to-side sway of chassis relative to the axle. This bar is for spring-over-axle, 4-bar front ends on 1928-1934 Fords. Tube O.D. is 5/8".

Chassis bracket welds-on, then bar bolts in place to the side of the 4-bar batwing. Panhard bar bracket mounts to a batwing that features a 4-1/2" on center four-bar spacing.
These axle boss spacers adapt a 2" boss axle to a 2-1/4" bracket (4-bar batwing). Set of 4 spacers.
