How necessary are the splash aprons on the Speedway '27 body? I'm considering getting the Speedway '27 roadster body kit & frame, but I wasn't going to get fenders or running boards. Would you only use this product if you completed it with running boards? This is objective, but would the car look better with the splash aprons without running boards? Would it give it more of a lowered appearance as opposed to not having the splash aprons on?

The 27 Roadster sits on top of the 3” tall frame and if using the splash aprons would not look correct without the fenders. The rounded part would stick out from the frame and without additional support would move around during driving as well as the rear. For the lowest stance you may want to consider channeling the body over the frame or simply doing the suspension slightly different to achieve a lower ride height.
