Windshield post are ok if u can gat a good pair. Prep work before plating is very poor. Had to reorded multiple sets before I got a pair I could deem usable. However the people at speedway were awesom to deal with about the problem. Same wonderful lady to deal with in quality department every time I called. Capable of dealing with issue and correcting issue. Very happy with service but that's not what you bolt onto your car. Hopefully this prep issue has now been resolved. Chrome plating is only as good as the prep work done beforehand.
Pros:
  • fit nice
Cons:
  • poor prep before plating
Yes, I recommend this product.

The outside surface finish is great, the inside surface where the windshield frame mounts was very rough & undersize. Had to use a rotary file on the inside surface to be able to mount the windshield frame.
Pros:
  • rough surface inside
  • good finish on outer surface
Yes, I recommend this product.

Nice fit with work

July 17, 2014
First the directions are not correct. The mounting holes are taped, you will not need to drill and tab like the directions say. These are cast parts. The finish and chrome is nice on the face. The one big problem was the casting where the windshield frame would fit, didn??_t fit! It would have been nice if the vender would have machined these before chroming them. I spent a day and a half getting these to fit the chrome window frame. I did chip the chrome a little but not to bad. The fit to the car is outstanding and looks nice.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I have the same problem on my '23 T-Bucket. I made my own out of an old pair of a fairly thin floor mat. They don't fit perfectly, but they are better than nothing- they do give a little cushion between the posts & the body. Don't use anything too thick, or your posts may not fit correctly. Good luck.

We apologize but do not offer a gasket for the 91656231 T posts and am not aware of availability from another supplier. What customers have used is an automotive inner tube, rough cut to size, use weatherstrip adhesive to glue to the posts and then trim to an exact fit. It helps against paint damage and also post movement once tightened in place.

If you have a Speedway body then they should work just fine, assuming speedway motors used them on their bodies. If you have any other body, then go back to the company that made that body and buy from them or have them provide you with a company that makes some that will fit. If your just looking for nuts and bolts to attached posts, which you already have then just go to ACE hardware and look for chrome nuts and bolts they have for a company like Fasenal for SS hardware.

Our short style windshield posts for the 1915-25 T roadsters and buckets do not come with mounting hardware. These are brass castings with mounting bosses cast on the backside for a clean installation. Because of the variation in thickness of the body used there are different length bolt requirements. Contact your local hardware, bolt, or fastener store for the length and style bolt you prefer for attachment.
